Join us on September 30th at the Los Angeles Police Academy for the 10th annual Randy Simmons Challenge Run. The 5K is a challenging course with significant elevations gains and breath taking views of the city during the first 1.5 miles. The remaining half of the race includes quick downhill sections with a slight uphill finish. Splits will be provided at the 1 and 2 mile markers and water will be provided at the half way point. Following the run, join us at the academy for awards, fun with police displays and checking out the Crossfit competition.
The 10K course adds a leisurely tour through Elysian Park before catching up with challenging portion of the 5K course, just before mile 2. The course continues to climb for approximately 3/4 of a mile to its highest point and enjoys breath taking views of the city and the police academy before a steep decent toward mile 3. The 10K breaks off from the 5K course again shortly after mile 3 and takes you on another scenic loop around the Elysian Reservoir. This loop adds another challenging hill at the end of mile 4, before meeting up once again with the 5K course for the final mile to the finish. Splits will be provided at mile markers 1-5 and water will be provided at miles 2.5 and 5. Following the run, join us at the academy for awards, fun with police displays and checking out the Crossfit competition
